Anthony Gordon has dropped a cheeky two-word bomb on Liverpool's Curtis Jones as the swirling transfer gossip linking him to the Reds ramps up.
Scouser Gordon, who got the boot from Liverpool's youth ranks before finding his feet at Everton aged 11, has since made the leap to Newcastle United in 2023 and bagged himself an England cap.
The Reds were sniffing around Gordon last year when the Magpies needed to flog some players to play nice with the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). But instead of a switch to Anfield, Gordon penned a fresh deal with Newcastle in October.

Still, whispers of Gordon donning the Liverpool kit haven't been silenced as the club gears up for a summer shopping spree. With Liverpool's attack line-up in a bit of a pickle, it's anyone's guess if Richard Hughes will circle back for Gordon.

One thing's for sure, though – Gordon and Jones are tight mates and would probably jump at the chance to team up at both club and international levels. Jones didn't hide his buzz earlier this month, hitting 'like' on an Insta post that teased Gordon's move to Liverpool, reports the Liverpool Echo.
And just recently, Jones chucked up some vacay pics with his squad, including Gordon. The Toon winger slid into the comments with a short but sweet: "My brother."
Liverpool have been making waves in the transfer market this summer, already securing the signatures of Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz, with the latter officially introduced on Friday evening. Bournemouth's left-back Milos Kerkez is also tipped to join, as reports this week hint that the Reds are nearing a deal for the 21 year old.

The future at the club looks shaky for Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa, while Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo are said to be on the radar of European heavyweights Barcelona and Bayern Munich respectively. Whether Liverpool will go after a wide attacker hinges on departures, which so far, haven't seen much solid movement.
