Report: FC Barcelona unbothered by Bayern Munich’s advances toward transfer target Nico Williams

According to a report from Marca journalist M.Carmen Torres (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), FC Barcelona is not fretting Bayern Munich’s late attempt to swoop back into the mix for Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams:

Barcelona are unfazed by Bayern’s attempts to hijack their move for Nico Williams. Barça rely on the player’s determination to play for them next season and that he will reject any other offers. Furthermore, Athletic Club are refusing any negotiations and want the release clause paid in full, which reassures Barcelona that Bayern will not sit down with Athletic and spring a last-minute surprise.

Bayern Munich is, indeed, at a big disadvantage in the sweepstakes for Williams, as the player clearly wants to play for Barca. However, the potential financial and registration issues that exist have given Bayern Munich the reason to not fully pull out of the race.
