Everyone said the same thing about Joe Burrow’s terrible baseball pitches

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow threw some pitches at Fanatics Fest in New York on Saturday, but his accuracy was seriously lacking, to say the least.

Sports business reporter Darren Rovell shared video of Burrow on Saturday throwing a number of pitches in the cage, all of which were wildly off-target. The quarterback was yanking everything to the left of his target, often by multiple feet.

Many found it pretty amusing that a high-level athlete like Burrow could struggle so much at throwing a baseball. Many were quick to point out, however, that the big problem he was having was that he was throwing as if it were a football.

If you can’t see what he’s doing wrong then you probably shouldn’t talk about it pic.twitter.com/jlpp8kea9U

couldn't throw a baseball more like a football if I tried lmao

Even if he wanted to throw it like a baseball I think his machine arm is so used to throwing a football it won’t even let him

He’s out throwing a baseball like it’s a football pretty hilarious to watch it’s almost like throwing a football it so ingrained in him he can’t stop

Burrow’s throwing motion was very much that of a quarterback’s. That works in the NFL, but it is not going to lead to good results when throwing a baseball.

If Burrow actually wanted to give baseball a try, he looks like he would be more well-equipped as a position player. For now, he will presumably be sticking to his day job with the Bengals.
