Marcus Rashford looks to be on his way out of Old Trafford following a large spell away from the Red Devils in the 2024-25 season. This comes after falling out of favour with Ruben Amorim when the manager joined the club back in November.

However, the destination which Rashford will head to has not been confirmed yet. But, from Rashford’s perspective, it looks like there is only one place where we will see the English international play and that is Barcelona.

In a YouTube video with 1996Javi, the winger commented on several topics relating to Barcelona. The first of these was 2024 Golden Boy winner Lamine Yamal who Rashford said is ‘only going to get better’ but is already one of the ‘best’ in the world.

Furthermore, on Barcelona itself, he said:

‘It’s a great place. Just a short flight from home, good weather – my family can easily visit. I enjoy being here’.

This positive review of Barcelona can be seen to further emphasise his desire to join the Spanish giants this summer, as he looks for a new club for the 2025-26 season.

However, Barcelona are reported to be considering Rashford in a list among other targets which decreases the chances of the winger being able to join the club.

The desire to join Barcelona comes following a largely unsuccessful season with Manchester United that saw him only score on 4 occasions.

However, his spell on loan at Aston Villa in the second half of the 2024-25 season can be seen to be more successful with the 27 year old finding his feet again and playing more regularly. However, an injury put an early end to his time at Villa – to the disappointment of many Villa fans.

With Marcus Rashford expressing his approval of Barcelona, do you think Barcelona is the correct fit for him or should he join another club? Only time will tell.
