Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni has come a long way since his disaster of an introductory press conference.
He remains the only head coach in Eagles history to make the playoffs in his first four seasons. His 48-20 record is one of the greatest in league history - not just for the franchise.
Add in two Super Bowl appearances along with a title, and Sirianni has quickly become one of the best coaches in the league ... with a reputation as a player's coach.
Pro Football Network's Brandon Austin ranked Sirianni as the fourth-best head coach for the 2025 season, behind Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay and John Harbaugh of the Baltimore Ravens.
"Nick Sirianni's run with the Eagles has been nothing short of remarkable," Austin said. "In just four seasons, he's led the team to two Super Bowl appearances, won a championship, and made the playoffs every year.
"Sirianni's career postseason record stands at 6-3, and his 70.6 percent regular-season winning percentage puts him among the best in the game. While general manager Howie Roseman gets much of the credit (and rightfully so), Sirianni has maximized the talent he's been given."
Austin - in what might stun some - is correct. Sirianni doesn't get credit as a team builder because Roseman supplies the players, and he isn't given credit as a schematic coach because he doesn't call plays.
What Sirianni does well, though, is getting his team in the right mindset to be better than their opponent.
Many teams in the league never reach their full potential. The fact that the Eagles do is a testament to Sirianni's coaching method.
It's helped the Eagles become the best team in the league, and they have even further goals of dominance for the future. ... but even still, it's Sirianni's influence that has impacted those two categories as well.
