New Details Emerge on Bucks-Spurs Trade Talks for Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Milwaukee Bucks have a lot of questions to answer this offseason, as nobody knows what direction the franchise will go. For the past three seasons, the Bucks have been eliminated in the first round of the playoffs, and it seems like it would be time for them to make some major changes. Next season, things might not be the same, as Damian Lillard will most likely miss most of the season as he recovers from his Achilles injury.

Everyone is now looking at Giannis Antetokounmpo to see if he will request a trade or decide to stay with the team. As of now, there are rumors that several teams could look to put packages together for a possible trade.

One of the teams that has been rumored is the San Antonio Spurs, and a pairing of Antetokounmpo and Victor Wembanyama would be dangerous for the league.

As of now, there hasn't been much movement on a potential deal, according to ESPN's Michael C. Wright.

"It's likely to, despite San Antonio fielding inquiries from teams looking to trade up to No. 2, while two future Hall of Famers -- Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant -- could become available in potential trades," Wright wrote. "The Spurs haven't held any substantive discussions regarding the former, according to sources, and Phoenix's asking price might be too steep for a franchise looking to remain cautious during the early years of Wembanyama's career."

In any trade involving Antetokounmpo, the Bucks will most likely ask for a lot of assets in return. The Spurs might not want to get rid of some of their key players, so they'll probably stand pat.
