It's a new day in the NBA, and there's nothing anyone can do to stop the reemergence of the most ho-hum dynasty in sports history. There is no pomp and circumstance to what San Antonio does. They go about their business of winning, and when they're on top of their game, they do it better than anyone else.
Some believe SA fell from its perch, but that's a mischaracterization. They were knocked off the pedestal by Kawhi Leonard. It's a long fall to the bottom and an even longer climb back to the top, but the Spurs have their sights set on the throne at the top of the mountain. It's why guys like De'Aaron Fox and Kevin Durant want to be in Alamo City.
Fox got his wish, and KD is still trying. Whether he gets it or not may be the difference between Durant getting another championship and not, because I don't think San Antonio will take that long to win a title with or without Easy Money Sniper.
The Spurs are lining up all the right pieces for a title run

What have [the Pacers shown us](https://airalamo.com/pacers-blueprint-only-spurs-wembanyama-unleash) in their run to the Finals? Putting multiple playmakers on the floor at the same time works and works well. While Indiana has Tyrese Haliburton, Andrew Nembhard, Aaron Nesmith, and Pascal Siakam, who can all dribble, pass, and shoot, SA will have De'Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, Dylan Harper, and Victor Wembanyama.
I'll take the Spurs' core 4 vs. theirs. Just give them a year or two, max. The Silver and Black have gone about putting this team together the right way. Winning a championship is a formula. If you don't have the right ingredients, you won't get the desired result. Fortunately, Brian Wright has been intentional in putting the right pieces in place.
Victor Wembanyama and De'Aaron Fox [give the team a 1-2 punch](https://airalamo.com/monstrous-duo-expected-take-league-storm-deaaron-fox-bold-remarks) that will be tough to gameplan for. Either player can go off and have a ridiculous scoring night. Wembanyama will have generational defensive games on random Tuesdays vs. the Wizards. The star power is there. They need time to grow together, but they'll have that starting this summer.
You need more than stars, though. Scoring is nice, but it's the NBA, so a lot of people can score. You need guys who can defend. That's where Jeremy Sochan and Stephon Castle come in. You need playmaking and rim pressure. Dylan Harper will have that in spades, plus Castle and Fox add to the relentless attack the Spurs can deploy.
The next thing they need is shooting and some big man depth. They're putting the pieces together, and with everything we know, they'll hurry that process along this offseason. That could manifest itself into Kevin Durant, and it could not, but he's not the only talented player in the league, and plenty probably want to be in SA. They'll get who they need. The resurgence is coming, and it's going to be beautiful.
