Miami Dolphins star takes shot at Buffalo Bills at Fanatics Fest

At one point in his career, Tyreek Hill was a thorn in the side of the [Buffalo Bills](https://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/).

Hill, 31, didn’t do much in the regular season against Buffalo with Kansas City, but he had two big games in the postseason that helped the Chiefs defeat the Bills.

The tables turned, however, once the Chiefs traded Hill to the Dolphins. Since joining Miami, Hill has been a non-factor against Buffalo.

In the regular season, Hill and the Dolphins are 1-5 against Buffalo. During that span, the receiver has caught 28 passes for 346 yards and two touchdowns. Hill is also 0-1 in the postseason against Buffalo as a member of the Dolphins. The receiver caught seven passes for 69 yards in a Wild Card loss to the Bills in 2023.

Why have the Bills been so good against Hill? According to the receiver, it’s due to the defense they play.

At an appearance at Fanatics Fan Fest, Hill took a shot at Buffalo for how they play him.

“Whenever we play the Bills, those guys typically play Cover 4 because they’re a bunch of bitches,” [Hill said](https://x.com/AryePulliNFL/status/1936434447844511827).

Cover 4 defense uses four deep defenders. This makes it difficult for opposing defenses to connect on deep passes. Regardless of Hill’s feelings, the Bills’ strategy to contain him has worked well. The fact that he and Miami’s offensive brain trust have failed to come up with a counterpunch to the Bills’ defense is quite telling.

Hill was supposed to be a difference maker for Miami, someone who could help the Dolphins win the division and make a deep run in the playoffs. That hasn’t been the case through three seasons, however. The Dolphins have been competitive, but have no AFC East titles or playoff wins to account for in that span.
