Arsenal are looking to make a splash in the summer transfer market to help them push for the Premier League title next year and the signing of an elite No.9 is their top priority.

The Gunners have already been linked with a host of star names since the 2024-25 campaign came to an end. But it remains to be seen whether it will be Viktor Gyokeres, Benjamin Sesko or a left-field option who will be leading the line for Mikel Arteta's men next year.

While there is no news yet on a striker signing, Arsenal are closing in on their first summer capture with Martin Zubimendi jetting into London this week.

The Real Sociedad playmaker will become the club's first summer signing with a deal all but wrapped up - and there should be plenty more transfer activity to follow in the coming weeks.

Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest transfer news from in and around The Emirates...

Gunners target Norgaard

Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard has emerged as a shock midfield target for Arsenal, who could lose the services of Thomas Partey in the coming weeks.

Partey will become a free agent at the end of the month and with no agreement in place with the Ghana star, Arsenal are now thought to be weighing up alternative targets.

The Gunners also lost the services of Jorginho earlier this month. And Mirror Football understands that Norgaard, 31, is a player Arsenal could move for in order to boost their squad depth ahead of the new season.

Timber's transfer hint

Jurrien Timber says Arsenal will be busy in the transfer market this summer

Jurrien Timber has predicted that Arsenal will be 'busy' in the transfer market this summer as the club's top brass continue to pursue quality signings.

Arsenal finished second in the Premier League last term and are desperate to go one better after three successive years of near misses - and Timber reckons the club will add 'lots of players' in a bid to build a title-winning squad.

Speaking on the Matchday podcast, he said: "It will definitely be a busy one for Arsenal. I think we will get a lot of players, because we had so many injuries last season."

Spurs make Semenyo call

Tottenham target Antoine Semenyo was linked with Arsenal back in the spring

Tottenham and Manchester United have cooled their interest in Antoine Semenyo after discovering a deal for the Bournemouth forward would set them back at least £70million.

Semenyo is a target for a host of top clubs after a stellar season for the Cherries and was linked with Arsenal back in the spring with the Gunners in the market for attacking reinforcements.

While it remains be seen if the Gunners will make a move for Semenyo this summer, The Athletic report Spurs did lodge an enquiry for the Ghana star. But they, much like Manchester United, have been 'deterred' by Bournemouth's valuation of the player.
