**PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) -** Former Pineville Rebel and current Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Cody Ford hosted his fourth annual football camp over at Pineville High School on Saturday, June 21.
“It’s honestly incredible just seeing these kids come out here with a smile on their face, have fun, and you know, just enjoy the day and enjoy some football, ” said Cody Ford.
Ford’s Pancake House is a non-profit started by Ford to help support children and families through food drives, holiday donations and -of course- youth football right here in the Cenla community all with the hopes of inspiring future NFL stars.
“That’s kind of why I do it,” said Ford. “The city has always been good to me. They’ve always shown me a lot of love, and anytime I get to do something like this or seasonal events is what I do it for. I love coming back home. It’s always love.”
This year, Ford had a special guest in attendance surprising the athletes with his Bengals teammate, Amarius Mims.
At the end of the day, thanks to Cody Ford and his crew, the campers were able to take away new skills and long lasting memories that will last a life time.
