Everton are in the market for a striker this summer transfer window.
David Moyes has drawn up a list of transfer targets to replace the impending departure of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Moyes is eyeing Villarreal striker Thierno Barry, who is thought to have a £33m release clause in his contract.
Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade is also an option for Everton, although, those rumours have dampened a little recently.
Now, it’s just come to light that Everton are ready to submit a substantial bid for a prolific striker.

Everton ready £38.5m bid for Aleksandar Mitrovic
Everton have been linked to Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer, with the Al-Hilal striker linked with a return to the Premier League.
Mitrovic, who left Fulham during the summer of 2023, has enjoyed a prolific couple of years in Saudi Arabia, netting a whopping 68 goals in 79 outings.
Now, according to Sunday’s edition of La Gazzetta Dello Sport (page 14), the Toffees are willing to submit a bid worth up to £38.5m for the 30-year-old.

Al-Hilal paid around £50m for the Serbia international, so it remains to be seen if they’d sanction his sale for below that figure.

There is no doubt about Mitrovic’s ability to find the back of the net, as he’s scored a remarkable 265 goals across his career.

111 of those came at Fulham, with his final season in the Premier League a productive one, netting 14 in just 23 starts.
Mitrovic, who is in the prime years of his career, is a ready-made striker for Moyes’ system and seems a much safer option than Barry and Woltemade, who are still learning their trade.
£38.5m is, of course, a significant sum of cash, but the 30-year-old probably has at least four seasons left at the top of his game.
Certainly a deal to keep a close eye on.
