Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho has issued a wordless message as speculation continues to grow around his future. Sancho, 25, spent last season on loan at Chelsea but, despite having a £25million obligation to make the move permanent, the Blues decided to pay a £5m penalty fee to send him back to M16.
However, the former Borussia Dortmund man is still not expected to have a long-term future under Ruben Amorim and anticipated to leave United once again. Napoli are reportedly among those interested in Sancho, who is reported to be willing to accept a move to Italy, even if he has to reduce his salary demands.
The Manchester Evening News understands that Sancho's representative, Emeka Obasi, explored potential opportunities in Germany following his time at Dortmund - with his last spell coming during the second half of the 2023/24 season - but a move to the Bundesliga is no longer being considered.
United want to secure a similar fee to the one that was agreed with Chelsea - in the region of £25m - despite his disappointing spell in west London. Sancho scored five goals and provided 10 assists in 41 matches for the Blues, who ended the season winning the Conference League and finishing in the top four.
Napoli are the team that are out in front right now according to Sky Sport Italy, which claims that Sancho's preference is to join Antonio Conte's side, as they were the first side to express an interest this summer. He has seen his former teammate Scott McTominay flourish out in Naples, having won Serie A's Most Valuable Player award.
While Sancho's long-term future remains up in the air, he has been spotted working hard in preparation for pre-season, as he tries to revitalise his career after a mixed season.
In an Instagram story in the early hours of Sunday morning, Sancho posted a picture of him in the gym but blocked his face with an emoji (anxious face with sweat). The image was shared without a caption.

United are set to return to training at the start of next month ahead of the 2025/26. Whether Sancho is present at their first day of pre-season remains to be seen, as speculation over his future continues.
The Reds boast a firm relationship with Napoli after McTominay's transfer last summer, and Conte has a strong track record of signing Premier League players during his time in Italy. He brought Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan in 2019, as well as signing Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez from United.
