All the attention among Leeds United fans continues to be focused on the announcement of Jaka Bijol as a new Leeds player, but many plates are being spun at Elland Road.
All that is left to do is the public announcement of Bijol’s move to Leeds. However, the delay has fans concerned, even if Beren Cross has told fans he has been assured there is nothing to worry about.
Aside from Bijol, plenty is still going on at Elland Road. A big-money striker is expected in the door at Leeds this summer with Lukas Nmecha already signed, meaning a reshuffle in the final third is imminent.
It places the future of both Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph in doubt. Joseph is desperate to join Real Betis and has agreed with Leeds that he will leave, but only if Betis can match Leeds’ asking price.

Spanish reports say Leeds are staying stubborn in Joseph talks
Brenden Aaronson said Joseph has a “big future” but things have not materialised for him at Elland Road. Rewind 12 months and it was a different story, scoring goals against big clubs in pre-season for Leeds.
But after starting the season as first choice, Joseph is now considered behind Joel Piroe, Bamford and new signing Nmecha in the pecking order. Diario De Sevilla deliver a new update in talks for striker Joseph.
They say Joseph is keen on a move and is pushing to join Betis. However, Betis are only offering a fee of £6.9m while Leeds want more than £8.5m. Talks are at an impasse and preventing Joseph from a move.

Joseph suffers Spain U21 heartbreak at the hands of Cresswell
Quite literally, by the hands of Cresswell. England’s U21 side beat Spain and Joseph on Saturday night in the quarter-finals of the U21 European Championships, with England looking to defend their title.

Following the final whistle, all things kicked off and Joseph was right in the middle of it. Spain’s players aimed their frustrations at former Leeds man Cresswell, though it is unclear what angered the Spanish.
Replays show Cresswell fending off three Spanish players at one point, with Joseph trying to separate both Cresswell and his Spanish teammates. It might be his last action as a Leeds player this summer.
