Sky Sports: UCL club have now entered race to sign 'world-class' Man Utd star, talks ongoing

Serie A giants Juventus are reportedly looking to hijack Napoli's pursuit of Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho, according to Sky Sports' Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Sancho joined the Red Devils in 2021 for a staggering £73 million fee, but he has struggled to cement his place as a reliable first-team player for the club.

The 25-year-old is now expected to depart from Old Trafford this summer, with it being made clear that boss Ruben Amorim does not consider him as part of his plans for the club.

Juventus Eyeing Sancho Deal

They are looking to hijack Napoli's pursuit

As per Di Marzio, Juventus have "made moves" in their chase for Manchester United's Sancho, who they were also keen on signing last summer before his loan switch to Chelsea.

Previously dubbed "world-class", the England international endured a relatively lackluster stint at Stamford Bridge in which he registered just three league goals. Chelsea were initially expected to sign the player permanently following the loan due to a £25 million obligation clause, but they backed out of the deal and paid a £5 million fee to Manchester United to return the player instead.

Napoli were revealed to have been interested in Sancho's services last week. The winger is believed to be open to the switch, though the Serie A champions were put off by his eye-watering £275,000-per-week salary.

But now Juventus have entered the race in a bid to strengthen their flanks for new boss Igor Tudor, and reports suggest they are prepared to pay around £21.7 million for the player, who has a year remaining on his current agreement at Manchester United.
