Jose Mourinho could offer a helping hand to Manchester United by raiding his former side in the summer transfer window.
It is no secret that Ineos want to overhaul the Manchester United squad this summer but so far it is selling players that has proven to be difficult.
Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho can leave, but finding willing buyers who will match their wages has been a challenge.
Sancho’s £25m move to Chelsea collapsed when he refused to accept a significant wage cut to join the London club.
Napoli are now showing interest in a £21m Sancho deal and it seems Jose Mourinho is keen to get involved and potentially take the 25-year-old off of Ruben Amorim’s hands.

Jose Mourinho enquires about signing Jadon Sancho

The winger’s £300,000 per week wages have so far proven to be a stumbling block for most teams, but earlier this week it was reported that Sancho is now open to accepting a wage cut to move away from Old Trafford.
As things stand, Sancho is currently set for an awkward reunion for United’s pre-season training, so it is in the best interest of the club and player to get a deal done sooner rather than later.
While Napoli appear to be in pole position for Sancho, it seems Mourinho is willing to throw his hat into the ring in case that move falls through. United fans will know better than most that these things can happen.
Jadon Sancho would join two former Man Utd stars at Fenerbahce
If Sancho did make the move to play under Mourinho at Fenerbahce, he would join two former Red Devils stars.
Fred has been thriving at Fenerbahce after his Old Trafford exit in 2023, playing regularly under Mourinho in midfield.
Alongside him, Sofyan Amrabat joined Fenerbahce on deadline day last summer after United decided against triggering a permanent buy option.

Mourinho’s Fenerbahce faced United in the Europa League in 2024/25 with both Fred and Amrabat starting in midfield on the night.
Sancho would also join former Premier League stars Allan Saint-Maximin and Edin Dzeko if he made the move.
