Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk is in “trouble” after an update has emerged on his potential ban.
The 24-year-old has been unable to play for the London giants since the beginning of December following his suspension.
Mudryk could be facing a lengthy ban if he fails to prove his innocence despite insisting the “adverse finding” in a urine test came as a “complete shock” to him.
BBC Sport reported on 18 June the FA has now charged the Ukraine international with violating its anti-doping rules and he could face a four-year ban.
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was handed a four-year doping ban last year before his suspension was later reduced to 18 months on appeal.
Finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider Mudryk is in “trouble” and will face a “very serious” ban.

Mykhailo Mudryk four-year verdict shared
Borson insisted Mudryk is unlikely to receive a four-year ban despite the charges.
He told Football Insider: “I don’t know about a four-year ban, but clearly it looks like he’s got a problem on his hands.
“It does look like he’s probably going to get banned. Obviously, there has to be a hearing and all of the evidence has to be considered.
“We don’t know what his defence might be, but in doping cases, the athlete generally loses.
“We know he’s failed the test, and that’s been tested as well.
“It’s a strict liability offence as well, which means that the kind of reasons are only partly mitigating, and you will have breached, so therefore are in trouble.
“I don’t know whether it will be four years. I suspect it won’t be four years, but it will be very serious, and it will be a very long ban.
“Of course, you’ve got all this period where he’s effectively banned anyway.
“Now, they will take it into account, but you know these are critical times in a player’s career, and it’s going to be very hard for him to recover his career having had X number of years out of the game.”

Chelsea will accept offers for two first-team stars
In terms of potential exits, Football Insider revealed on 10 June Chelsea will accept offers for Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi this summer.
Trevoh Chalobah is attracting interest from Napoli and other Premier League clubs, but he’s not at the top of Chelsea’s unwanted list.
Enzo Maresca and his transfer team will instead look to move on French duo Badiashile and Disasi in the coming weeks.
