Chelsea are not expected to come back in for Mike Maignan after the deal fell through before the FIFA Club World Cup.
Earlier in the month it emerged that Maignan hoped to be going to Chelsea and taking part in the tournament in the United States. However, the deal fell apart as no agreement over a transfer fee was reached, so the Frenchman has remained.
There have been rumblings in the media about Chelsea coming back in for Maignan now the window has reopened for Premier League sides, especially with his deal expiring in just 12 months.

Fabrizio Romano‘s latest update is as follows: “Chelsea have not re-activated Mike Maignan as goalkeeper option in the recent hours/days – and are not planning to do so later in the window.

The latest from La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that negotiations for the renewal of Maignan’s contract will be resumed from the end of the transfer window onwards.
The former Lille man will remain in his place as the number one, at least that is the plan of the Rossoneri management. Massimiliano Allegri holds him in high regard, and his words have apparently made a mark.
