Bayern Munich midfielder João Palhinha has not firmly established himself in his first season with the German record champions...and while he has stated his desire to continue, he is among several players repeatedly linked with a move away.
The latest report, which comes from Mail Sport’s Simon Jones, suggests that Palhinha could have a chance to return to his former club, Fulham.
As captured by @iMiaSanMia:
Fulham are exploring a potential return for João Palhinha. The midfielder wants to fight for his place at Bayern but the Bundesliga champions are willing to consider offers. A number of Premier League sides are interested in an initial loan with Fulham among those, though his salary could prove prohibitive [Simon Jones, @MailSport]
Is it starting to feel like déjà vu yet?
Like Sacha Boey, Palhinha is not exactly a fixture in Vincent Kompany’s lineups. Like Boey, Palhinha has been linked right back to the club that Bayern transferred him in from. And like Boey...Palhinha doesn’t want to leave, and his old club might not be able to afford him.
Will Bayern sell any of its top transfer candidates this summer?
