Report: Man Utd enter race to hijack move for 'exceptional' forward in 'last few hours', will…

Manchester United have now re-entered the race to sign Fiorentina striker Moise Kean, who has a release clause of around £45m, according to Italian outlet Gazzetta.

The Red Devils have been linked with a host of different strikers for the summer transfer window, with Ruben Amorim's recruitment team clearly identifying the position as one they must strengthen. Matheus Cunha was brought to the club earlier in the window to bolster their attacking options, but he's likely to play just behind the striker.

After a disappointing season, there's no doubt United need to strengthen in multiple areas this summer, and they'll be hoping to act fast with their targets. The lack of European football wasn't a deterrent for Cunha, and United will be hoping that's also the case for some of their other options in the market.

According to a report from Gazzetta in Italy, Manchester United have entered the race to sign Kean in the 'last few hours'. The Red Devils are said to be 'back more than before' after previously showing an interest in securing his signature, and they represent a 'real danger' to the Saudi Pro League. United are looking to hijack a deal, with a Saudi side willing to offer around £83m total package to sign Kean.

Kean, described as 'exceptional', enjoyed an impressive campaign with Fiorentina last time out, and he's finally starting to find his feet after a difficult few years. The Italian international previously plied his trade at Premier League side Everton, but he struggled to make an impact in England before a move abroad.

United are also pushing to sign Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo, with reports suggesting that they are willing to pay in the region of £63m plus add-ons in order to secure his signature. Amorim could have a new look attack to play with in the coming months as United prepare to head back in the right direction after a difficult few years.
