Exclusive: £77m player does not want Stamford Bridge move despite Chelsea opening talks, he is keen to stay put

TBR Football can now exclusively provide the latest update on Randal Kolo Muani after Chelsea made an approach.

The Blues are hunting to sign a new striker this summer after an underwhelming 2024/25 campaign in that position, with Nicolas Jackson only scoring ten goals in 30 Premier League appearances.

Chelsea have been in talks over Hugo Ekitike – the Eintracht Frankfurt talisman – but an approach has now also been made to PSG to enquire about the availability of Randal Kolo Muani.

However, sources have shared information with TBR Football about the Frenchman which does not bode well for Chelsea.

Randal Kolo Muani wants to stay at Juventus despite interest from Chelsea

Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent at TBR Football – has now been told that the France international currently has little interest in a move to the Premier League, as he prefers to stay in Turin.

PSG loaned Kolo Muani to Juventus back in the January transfer window, and he has impressed with the Old Lady, scoring ten goals in 20 appearances so far – he was even granted an extension to the loan in order to play for the Italian giants at the FIFA Club World Cup.

This form has led to an approach from Chelsea, who are considering the 26-year-old along with Ekitike.

Despite Kolo Muani preferring to stay with Juventus, the Serie A side are only looking to do another loan deal, although PSG would prefer to sell the man born in Bondy outright.

As a result, we understand intermediaries are working with PSG to find a solution, offering the frontman to Manchester United and Aston Villa in the hope of sparking a bidding war for the man who moved to Paris in a £77m switch from Eintracht Frankfurt in September 2023.

Bailey tells TBR Football: “Kolo Muani wants to stay in Italy – that is the word coming from his people at this point, even with the approach from Chelsea and interest from elsewhere.

“I am told he knows Dusan Vlahovic is going, so he is likely to be the main man in Turin and that appeals to him.”

Tottenham also have a fondness for Randal Kolo Muani

TBR Football revealed in January that Tottenham also wanted Kolo Muani – a claim which was later confirmed by Ange Postecoglou.

The Australian said: “We were in… Well, it depends what you mean for in. We’ve been interested and were looking at a number of players, but did we get to the point where we thought he was coming to us? No.”

We understand Tottenham remain interested in Kolo Muani, so if Juventus are unable to reach an agreement with PSG, the Premier League could well become a likely destination.
