Kyle Walker no longer looks set to swap Manchester City for Everton this summer after what…

Kyle Walker appears to have kicked his final ball for Manchester City as a departure looms.

The England international seems destined to leave the Etihad Stadium this summer after an underwhelming loan spell at AC Milan last season, which will have done little to show Pep Guardiola he has a future at Manchester City.

Walker had agreed a contract with Everton – according to The Sun – earlier this week.

It was said David Moyes wanted to inject some more experience into his squad.

Now, however, a development has occurred which suggests Kyle Walker will no longer be moving to Everton this summer.

Everton agree deal to sign Kenny Tete, who was named as a Kyle Walker alternative

Fabrizio Romano now states that Everton have agreed a deal to sign a different right-back in Kenny Tete.

A story from the Liverpool Echo claimed earlier this week that Everton were considering both Walker and Tete for the right-back slot, so the fact an agreement has now been reached for the latter strongly suggests the Toffees are moving away from the man born in Sheffield.

The 35-year-old only has 12 months remaining on his contract at Manchester City, so this current window represents the last chance Hugo Viana has to receive a decent fee for the defender.

Options appear to be running out for Kyle Walker

The Manchester City No.2 is risking a spell in the metaphorical wilderness under Guardiola next season unless he makes a decision soon.

Fenerbahce had made an offer to Walker as Jose Mourinho aimed to bring the Englishman to Turkey – which Yagiz Sabuncuoglu reported last week.

However, after little progress was made, a more recent story from Sabuncuoglu has revealed that Fenerbahce are speaking to Lucas Vazquez about a switch from Real Madrid, who also plays at right-back, suggesting the Turkish giants are moving away from Walker.

As Everton now agree a deal with Tete too, the list of clubs for Walker to choose from is becoming more and more slim.
