Manchester United star hints at Barca move, desire to play alongside Lamine Yamal - Manchester United News
Marcus Rashford has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Barcelona, admitting his desire to play alongside star man Lamine Yamal. Rashford’s future has been the subject of much speculation this summer, with the 27 year old having fallen out of favour at Manchester United.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, enjoying a bit of a mini revival where he scored four goals in 17 appearances and was recalled to the England squad for a pair of World Cup qualifiers in March.
ESPN has reported that United are willing to listen to more offers for the player this summer. There has been interest from Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus and Bayern Munich as well as a number of Premier League clubs.

Villa have a £40m option to make the loan permanent, but after missing out on Champions League football for next season are unlikely to trigger the clause.
While Rashford is now planning to return to United this summer, both the club and player remain open to a move should one materialize. Rashford was interviewed on Spanish YouTube channel xBuyer and asked whether he would like to play with the 17-year-old Barcelona star Lamine Yamal one day.
Rashford replied: “Yeah, for sure, Everybody in the world wants to play with the best. Hopefully … We’ll see.”
“[It is] difficult to put into words what he is doing,” Rashford added. “He is not supposed to be doing that at 16, 17 [years of age].”
Rashford could leave United this summer
This is not the first time Rashford has expressed interest in a move to Barcelona, with the player earlier this season signaling that the La Liga giants are his dream landing spot. Barcelona sporting director and former player Deco then added fuel to the fire when he admitted that Barcelona “like” both Rashford and Liverpool winger Luis Diaz.
United are so far yet to receive a firm bid from Barcelona or any other club for Rashford. The player is under contract until 2028 and will report back to United’s Carrington training ground in July as things stand.
