Manchester City want Kyle Walker “out the door” at the Etihad Stadium after Everton have been linked with a move for him this summer.
The England international spent the second half of the season on loan at AC Milan, but he failed to secure a permanent deal.
Walker has emerged as a potential option for Everton as they look to bring in defensive reinforcements.
Football Insider revealed on 15 June Walker has “no way back” at Man City, with his future now “all but done” after clashing with Pep Guardiola.
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider a previous leak revealed the 35-year-old’s wages may have been reduced following his return from AC Milan.
Several Premier League and European clubs are believed to be monitoring Walker’s situation at the Etihad, with the right-back’s deal set to expire in June 2026.

Everton could agree Kyle Walker deal after Man City ‘leak’
Borson insisted Everton could potentially be in the market to sign Walker if his wages have decreased as Man City want him “out the door” this summer.
He told Football Insider: “There was some suggestion that in the deal that he did to go to Milan on loan, he agreed effectively to change the contract for his final season if Milan didn’t buy him and he came back to City.
“I don’t know whether it’s true.
“It seemed like a very detailed leak if it wasn’t, but that would mean his wages would come right down and, therefore, would possibly make him a player that was doable for some other teams, such as his old team Sheffield United or Everton.
“But clearly, it’s still big money. Would City subsidise it? I don’t know. City clearly want him out the door after not taking him to the Club World Cup.
“Pep has been absolutely definitive that he effectively won’t play again. So, he’s going to have to find a move.
“I think there’s a pretty good chance that City would subsidise any move just because they’ve got to get rid of him.
“They are in a corner on this one. It’s another one where they haven’t really got a choice. It’s like the Grealish situation.
“At some point, something’s going to give and the playoff that they’ve got with potentially interested teams, it’s on the negotiation, the leverage and the deadline.
“I think if nobody goes for him relatively early in the window and he turns into one of those transfer deadline-type deals, then clearly as you get closer to the deadline, you’re going to have to pay more of his salary.”
