Arsenal’s move for Benjamin Sesko is stalling over personal terms rather than the transfer fee, according to a report, and the Gunners could still turn to Viktor Gyokeres.

Alan Nixon reports on his Patreon that Arsenal are struggling to meet Benjamin Sesko’s contract demands, despite a willingness to sign the striker from RB Leipzig this summer.
Nixon writes that Arsenal will pay Leipzig’s asking price, with Mikel Arteta keen on the centre-forward. But Sesko’s camp are reportedly looking for a much bigger salary than the Gunners plan to pay.
The contract issue could even force Arsenal in another direction, with a move for Viktor Gyokeres still on the table.

Nixon reports that Gyokeres is currently Arsenal’s alternative to Sesko, and they don’t want to lose out on him if the Slovenian striker doesn’t join. But Gyokeres is reportedly realising he isn’t first choice.
The Swede is keen on a move to the Premier League and Sporting are willing to sell, it just depends on the Gunners’ decision as to which option is better.
If Sesko lowers his wage demands, perhaps that deal becomes a formality. If not, Arsenal may decide to move for Gyokeres to avoid risking missing out on both. It all remains up in the air right now.

Both Sesko and Gyokeres recently concluded their campaigns by missing the international break through injury, though neither issue was believed to be particularly serious. The duo should be fit for pre-season, if Arsenal can get a deal done for one of them in time.
