Arsenal are reportedly eyeing a move for Sevilla midfielder Lucien Agoume, who is increasingly likely to depart from his club this summer, as per Fichajes.
The Gunners have all-but-announced a deal to make Real Sociedad ace Martin Zubimendi their first signing of the summer, with the player in London last week to put the finishing touches on his move.
Zubimendi is expected to replace Jorginho, who left for Flamengo following his contract's expiry, and it appears his ex-teammate Thomas Partey could be destined for a similar fate. A contract is yet to be agreed for the Ghanaian and Arsenal could re-enter the market for a midfielder if he does not renew his agreement.

A product of the Sochaux youth academy, Agoume completed a switch to Inter Milan in 2019 and initially played in the club's youth ranks. He spent a number of loan stints in Italy, France and Spain before eventually signing permanently to Sevilla in August 2024.
Agoume played a key role for the La Liga outfit last term, amassing 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring once and assisting a further three for his teammates. He has been likened to Patrick Vieira in terms of his playstyle, and has been hailed as "extraordinary".

The 23-year-old could be the ideal replacement for Arsenal in the event that Partey leaves the club. Agoume has the physical fundamentals to adapt to the number six position for Mikel Arteta and therefore add depth in a key area.
Reports suggest that Sevilla could be looking for a fee in the region of £20 million to sanction a sale for the Frenchman, and the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham are also believed to be interested.
