Departing Everton midfielder Karoline Olesen is being strongly linked with a move to Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan club Malmö FF.
The Danish youth international will officially become a free agent next week when her contract with her current club expires. It has already been confirmed that her time on Merseyside is coming to an end.
According to reports by well-respected Swedish media outlet Aftonbladet, the 20-year-old is set to sign on with Malmö FF for the long-term.
Olesen has spent the last two seasons with Everton after joining the club from Danish side Fortuna Hjørring. The midfielder has been a regular in the Everton side with the player having made 18 appearances for the club in this season’s Barclays Women’s Super League. Olesen has developed considerably from the young player that originally arrived in England two years’ ago.
With the player ready to take on a new challenge this summer, it is believed that Olesen is set to join Swedish club Malmö FF. Should the move be completed as expected, she will join a club that is currently in third place in the Swedish OBOS Damallsvenskan table, just one point off the league summit.
Olesen is one of seven players to be leaving Everton this summer.
