Rockets Player’s Mom Sends Departing Message to Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks

The Houston Rockets have traded guard Jalen Green, forward Dillon Brooks, the 2025 No. 10 overall pick and five future second-round picks to the Phoenix Suns for All-Star forward Kevin Durant, according to NBA insider Shams Charania.

The blockbuster deal ends weeks of negotiations between the two Western Conference franchises. However, the announcement does mean it’s the end of Green's and Brooks' tenure with the Rockets.

Green, 23, was drafted No. 2 overall in the 2021 NBA draft and never quite lived up to his high-level expectations, although he did average 21.0 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Brooks signed with Houston during the 2023 offseason and averaged 14.0 points per game in 2024-25.

Their departures are sad to some Rockets fans, including Tari Eason’s mother, who has been outspoken on social media about her love and support for the team and all of its players.

“I LOVE THEM,” Teroya Eason wrote on X Sunday. “And every chance I get, I will tell them. We are all Suns fans now, and I will not explain myself.”

She also shared her reaction to Durant joining her son’s team, “Now y’all gotta deal with me and [Kevin Durant] cooking you on Twitter.”

Brooks and Green will join a Suns team led by former All-Star guards Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. Phoenix’s roster also includes veterans such as Mason Plumlee, Cody Martin and Tyus Jones.

Both could be solid additions to the roster if newly appointed head coach Jordan Ott can utilize them in the starting rotation properly.
