Marcus Rashford has openly expressed his desire to play with Barcelona’s young sensation Lamine Yamal in the future. The 17-year-old winger has impressed everyone with his talent, including the Manchester United forward, who is currently on loan at Aston Villa.
Rashford lauds Yamal
In a chat on the Spanish YouTube channel xBuyer, Rashford was asked if he would like to play alongside Yamal one day. The England player said that he would love to be in the same team as the youngster, as everyone in the world wants to play with the best.
“Yeah, for sure, Everybody in the world wants to play with the best. Hopefully … We’ll see.” Rashford also praised the teenager, saying, “It’s difficult to put into words what he is doing. He is not supposed to be doing that at 16-17.”

Rashford’s uncertain future
Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa after struggling to get game time at Manchester United under new coach Ruben Amorim. Meanwhile, reports have emerged suggesting that United are ready to sell the 27-year-old and are looking at offers for the summer window.
Barcelona , Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Juventus, and some Premier League teams are reportedly interested in securing Rashford. However, it is not yet clear where Rashford will go next, but his comments about Yamal show that he would like to go to Barcelona.
According to ESPN, Rashford is expected to start pre-season training with United as the club is yet to make a final move on his future. The forward is under contract with the Red Devils until 2028. After going to Villa for the second half of the previous season, Rashford returned to some form, scoring four goals in 17 games.
Yamal, on the other hand, was recently in the news over reports of him allegedly dating a 30-year-old flight attendant turned social media influencer. The Barcelona prodigy denied the reports after he and Fati Vazquez shared similar photos from the same location, but not together.
