Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been looking for a new club since his departure from Juventus last year.

The former World Cup winner is looking to rebuild his reputation following a positive test for doping in 2023 which saw him leave Juventus in November in 2024.

During his time at Manchester United, the midfielder was well received among the Red Devil fanbase. Alongside this, he was a consistent starter and had some unforgettable moments in a United shirt.

However, the most memorable of these arguably is his brace to pull Manchester United level and subsequently to stop Manchester City from winning the title in the 2017-18 season.

Now, it looks like Pogba has found his next club. This is because Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Pogba is closing in on a move to AS Monaco.

The deal is reported to be 2 years in length. Furthermore, the final details of the deal still have to be sorted before Pogba joins the club.

Monaco are looking to build their squad following a 3rd place in Ligue 1 last season.

This means that the French side will play UEFA Champions League football next season.

With over 500 career appearances, the midfielder brings immense experience to Monaco.

Furthermore, with 73 goals across his senior career, Paul Pogba holds the ability to contribute in an attacking sense to a side.

The 32 year old primarily plays in an attacking midfield role. But, he can also play in a more central role if needed.

The former French midfielder will play in his home country for the first time since his youth career.

Do you think Pogba can succeed whilst at Monaco? Or, has his ban ruined his career beyond repair? Only time will tell.
