Rebecca Lobo recited an innocuous phrase during Sunday’s ESPN broadcast of the Indiana Fever-Las Vegas Aces game, but she apparently felt she sounded a bit too much like President Donald Trump.
Lobo, a color analyst for ESPN, was talking about people having disagreements late in the fourth quarter of the Fever-Aces game at Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. She said people have the right to disagree with her, which is part of “what makes America great.”
What followed was a roughly 10-second pause. It then became clear that Lobo felt her choice of words sounded too similar to Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan.

The Aces held on to beat Caitlin Clark and the Fever 89-81.
