[Real Madrid](https://www.managingmadrid.com) defender Fran Garcia spoke to the media after helping his side win 3-1 against Pachuca in the Club World Cup on Sunday night. Garcia contributed with an assist to Real Madrid’s first goal, and played a decent match.
He was asked about the feelings in the dressing room, to which he said: “This victory gives us even more confidence to keep believing in the process. The feeling is good. We have to focus on the positives and keep working on them.”
Fran was asked about the change and how it will take time. He replied: “These are three points that give us a bit of confidence to continue on a strong footing in this tournament. We didn’t start the way we wanted, but the team’s response has been very good. The work we’re asked to do will continue; it’s not something that happens overnight. The daily work and commitment of each individual are especially evident in situations like today’s.”
Finally, the left-back talked about what he could contribute to the win, by saying: “Above all, it was liberation, given the feeling the team was experiencing, giving them that outlet. And on a personal level, anything that can help the team continue to improve is good for everyone.”
Garcia will probably start Real Madrid’s next game against Salzburg, in the hopes of getting another win on the books.
