Of course, then attention will turn to who is declared Finals MVP.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the favourite of the Thunder, having entered Game 6 averaging 32.4 points in the series along with 5.0 assists, 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 1.8 blocks.

The superstar guard also had that clutch 15-point performance in Game 4 that saw the Thunder storm home, while he has also been incredible on the defensive end.

It is hard to see Gilgeous-Alexander being denied, but Jalen Williams had the best game of his career when he put up 40 points in Game 5 and has also excelled as the primary playmaker for the Thunder as the series has progressed.

For the Pacers, Pascal Siakam is the leading contender having averaged just over 20 points per game to go with 8.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.7 steals.

Of course, Tyrese Haliburton will be right up there too given he is the engine of Indiana’s offence while he has a plus-21 point differential for the series.

You can’t leave T.J. McConnell out of the MVP discussion, even if he isn’t playing big minutes.

Every McConnell minute has felt impactful, with the Pacers guard becoming the first bench player in NBA history with 60-plus points, 25-plus assists and 15-plus rebounds in the NBA Finals.
