If the probable pitchers remain unchanged leading up to Wednesday, the game will feature arguably the most anticipated pitching matchup of the year. Misiorowski has only just begun his MLB career, but the Brewers starter entered with a bang by throwing 11 no-hit innings. Meanwhile, Skenes is a former number one overall pick who ran away with the Rookie of the Year award last year, despite not making his MLB debut until May 11.
On the mound, the radar gun may never read triple digits as many times in a game as it will on Wednesday. Through two starts this year, Misiorowski has thrown 52 pitches over 100 MPH whereas Skenes has thrown 28. Both pitchers have shown that they are capable of maintaining velocity deep into games, which means fans should be in for a dazzling display of pitching.
