Lu Dort commits embarrassing flop during Game 7

Lu Dort committed an embarrassing flop during Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Sunday between his Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Isaiah Hartenstein had made a free throw to complete a three-point play and tie the game at 45 with 39 seconds left in the first half. Andrew Nembhard was bringing the ball up the court following the free throws from Hartenstein. Bennedict Mathurin set a screen on Dort to create some space for Nembhard, and Dort flopped after being screened.

Mathurin was called for an offensive foul after Dort’s flop worked, which gave the ball to OKC. They added two free throws from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to go up 47-45 before Nembhard made a 3-pointer to make it 48-47 at halftime.

The flop from Dort left many fans upset.

If the basketball Gods exist, Lu Dort will never win anything of substance.

Lu Dort may have a 3 minute compilation of him running directly into people then flopping and getting the call

As far as Dort is concerned, the move worked, so he has no reason not to keep doing it. And if there was a game to try bending things to draw a call, this was it.
