Manchester United are expected to be busy in the summer transfer market - both in terms of incomings and outgoings.

Ruben Amorim's side now know they will kick off their Premier League campaign at home to Arsenal but the squad as it is now will look very different come August 17.

United will hope to blood some new signings against the Gunners but there will be a number of departures this summer, too.

With that in mind, here is a look at eight United players who are on transfer notice ahead of that first game of the season.

Andre Onana or Altay Bayindir

United are expected to make at least one change to the goalkeeping department but the question is whether it is their first or second choice goalkeeper who leaves this summer.

Tom Heaton will certainly remain as third choice goalkeeper after agreeing to a new contract but there are two different scenarios that could play out this summer.

The first is that Andre Onana leaves the club amid interest from Monaco and the Saudi Pro League. His departure would see United sign a new number one goalkeeper, with Aston Villa star Emi Martinez being linked with a move to the club.

The other scenario is that Onana stays and United sign a new second choice goalkeeper to offer him stronger competition. That would then see Turkish international Altay Bayindir leave the club.

Tyrell Malacia

Malacia was shipped off on loan to PSV in January but didn't do enough in that spell to convince the Dutch champions to make the move permanent.

The Dutch international missed a huge chunk of time with a knee injury before that and has been deemed surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.

Casemiro

The Brazil international actually ended the season as one of United's best performers but that shouldn't cloud a decision when it comes to his future.

Casemiro is 33 and has one year remaining on his contract. This summer represents the last chance to get a significant fee for the former Real Madrid star and it is a chance they cannot pass up.

Alejandro Garnacho

Garnacho has been told he can leave United this summer by Amorim amid the fallout from the Argentina international not starting the Europa League final.

Napoli and Chelsea are among the clubs interested in the 20-year-old who still has three years remaining on his contract with the club. He should bank United a sizeable transfer fee.

Marcus Rashford

So, too, should Rashford who is available for transfer after Amorim decided he was no longer part of his plans at the end of last year.

After a positive loan spell with Aston Villa, Barcelona seems the most probable destination for the England international this summer.

Antony

United are confident they can bank a fee for Antony, too, after he rejuvenated his career on loan at Real Betis.

The Brazil international's confidence had hit rock bottom at Old Trafford but nine goals and five assists in half a season in Seville, helping Betis reach the UEFA Conference League final, has seen him rediscover his form.

Betis and Atletico Madrid have been linked with a permanent move.

Jadon Sancho

Chelsea opted against making Sancho's loan deal a permanent stay but the England international's future still lies away from Old Trafford.

Sancho's contract expires next summer and it will be a clean break for all parties if he can find a new permanent home this summer.

Rasmus Hojlund or Joshua Zirkzee

The pair scored just seven Premier League goals between them last summer and United need an upgrade.

Should one arrive then the expectation would be one of Hojlund or Zirkzee would leave the club, with plenty of interest from Serie A clubs in both of them.
