Manchester City celebrate Ilkay Gundogan's goal against Al Ain in the Club World Cup
Manchester City made it two wins from two at the Club World Cup with a commanding victory over Al Ain.
City cruised past their opponents in Atlanta, winning 6-0. Ilkay Gundogan got the ball rolling early on with clipped finish before Claudio Echeverri curled in a free kick. Erling Haaland's penalty on the stroke of half time made it three before Gundogan again and substitutes Oscar Bobb and Rayan Cherki added further goals in the second half.
The result means City are through to the last-16 with a game to spare. Pep Guardiola's side have six points from six and sit alongside Juventus at the top of the group.
First place will be decided when the two teams meet on Thursday (8pm) with City knowing they must win to pip the Italians to top spot.
A draw would leave both sides on seven points and level on goal difference but Juventus have scored one more so Igor Tudor's side would progress. Groups are settled on head to head record first, but given the only way City and Juve can end up level on points is by drawing with each other, goal difference and then goals scored comes into play.
Juve beat Wydad 4-1 on Sunday and put five past Al Ain without reply to leave them with a plus eight goal difference. City, who beat Wydad 2-0 in their opener, are also on plus eight but have scored eight goals to Juventus' nine.

Should City win the group, they will play the second place team from Group H, while if they finish second they will face the winners of that group.
It means the Blues could face Real Madrid, who currently lead the way in their group on four points from two games. They play Salzburg in their final fixture with the Austrians also on four points following their 0-0 draw with Al Hilal. The latter are on two points and still harbour hopes of qualifying ahead of the final group game against Pachuca, who are without a point and already out.
