Bayern Munich are hoping to get another chance to sign Nico Williams, and the transfer saga could take a dramatic turn.
The German giants have been heavily linked with a move for the Athletic Bilbao winger, and they see him as their dream signing. Arsenal are also in the race to sign the Spain international.
The Gunners are exploring several options to bolster their attacking areas as Mikel Arteta wants to add more quality to the ranks for the upcoming season.

Earlier this month, Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg claimed that Barcelona are in the leading position to sign the 22-year-old winger.
He claimed that Barcelona had taken significant steps ahead of both Bayern Munich and Arsenal after important new negotiations were concluded.
Williams has a release clause worth around £50m in his contract, which runs until 2027.
Christian Falk told CFBayern previously that while Williams prefers a move to Barcelona, it’s not entirely clear whether the Catalan giants have the finances to complete his deal.
Plettenberg has now claimed that Bayern have submitted a new offer for the player over the past 48 hours. Williams have not accepted the offer. Bayern are hoping that Barcelona will fail to reach an agreement with the winger.
Falk has now told CFBayernInsider that Bayern still hope to get a second chance for Williams, if Barca can‘t register the player in the next two weeks.
Nico Williams would be a terrific addition for Bayern Munich
Williams has scored 31 goals in all competitions for Athletic Bilbao since making his senior debut in 2020, and he would be a cracking addition to the side.
He is a remarkable talent and his best years are yet to come.
However, if he is fixated on moving to Barcelona only, in that case, Bayern may lose precious time in a wild goose chase for him.
It is refreshing to see that Bayern are keeping other options open. They are also interested in Rafael Leao and the Liverpool duo of Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz.
The next two weeks are absolutely vital for both Arsenal and Bayern. If Barcelona fail to sign Williams, it would open the door for Arsenal or Bayern.
