Liverpool's starting XI could look significantly different for its opening Premier League match of the upcoming season.
The Reds will kick off their campaign with a clash against Bournemouth on Friday, August 15. There are already some confirmed changes to the squad as Liverpool prepares to defend its Premier League title, with several transfers already finalized. Regarding departures, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Caoimhin Kelleher have both permanently left the club, while Jarell Quansah is nearing a move to Bayer Leverkusen.
It's also been a bustling period for incoming business at Anfield. Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz, and Armin Pecsi have all been snapped up by Liverpool, and the Reds will also be welcoming Giorgi Mamardashvili to their ranks for the forthcoming term.
There's also the potential for more new faces to arrive before the transfer window slams shut on 1 September. Liverpool is on the verge of securing the signature of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth.
Once the deal sending Quansah to Leverkusen is finalized, Liverpool will also be shopping for a new center-back this summer.
Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi has emerged as a potential target, but with only 12 months remaining on his contract, it remains to be seen whether the Reds will enter negotiations and strike a deal this summer.

Should Guehi be signed, it could result in a significant reshuffle of Liverpool's first-choice back four all within one summer.
The midfield might also undergo some changes, with Wirtz potentially stepping into the No. 10 role previously occupied by Dominik Szoboszlai.
If Arne Slot opts for a double pivot in midfield, Szoboszlai could fill this role and compete with Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister for starting positions.
Regarding the forward line, arguably only Mohamed Salah is assured of a starting spot next season. The Egyptian is expected to retain his usual position on the right wing, but the remaining two roles in the final third are still up for grabs.
Liverpool has been strongly linked with signing a striker this summer, with Newcastle's Alexander Isak frequently mentioned in transfer gossip. Eintracht Frankfurt's centre forward Hugo Ekitike has also been associated with a move to Anfield, but it remains unclear what Liverpool's plans are for the striker role next season.
This speculation has led to questions about the futures of Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota. For Nunez, the Uruguay international has already been linked with Napoli, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid and clubs in the Saudi Pro League this summer.
In the left wing position, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo are vying for a starting spot. Despite transfer rumours surrounding both players, Liverpool's plan is to have them ready for the season opener against Bournemouth in two months.
Potential Liverpool line-up next season: Alisson Becker; Jeremie Frimpong, Marc Guehi, Virgil van Dijk, Milos Kerkez; Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Florian Wirtz; Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak, Cody Gakpo.
