Everton face a battle to sign Nick Woltemade this summer.
David Moyes is desperate for attacking recruits after the Blues finished as the fourth-lowest scorers in the Premier League last season.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin looks set to leave Everton when his contract expires on 30 June, with Beto attracting interest from Leeds United.
The German would fit the bill, but his current club, Stuttgart, do not want to sell the 23-year-old, who is attracting interest from clubs across Europe.

Everton target Woltemade impresses in Germany win
Woltemade has been linked with Everton and is the leading goalscorer at the Under-21 European Championships, and took his tally to five with another strike against Italy in a 3-2 extra-time win (22 June).
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
He also bagged an assist in the contest as his nation secured passage to the semi-finals, where they will play another Toffees target, Thierno Barry’s France.
German media outlets were blown away by the Stuttgart sensation, with Spiegel saying: “He headed in Nelson Weiper’s assist for the 2-1 goal. With five goals and three assists, Woltemade remains the outstanding player of the U21 European Championship.”
Stern said: “After four consecutive victories, the German U21 team is in the European Championship semifinals. Goalscorer Nick Woltemade can once again be relied upon.”
Meanwhile, RAN said: “He wasn’t as much of a focus from open play as he had been previously. He got bogged down in a few dribbles. But he still scored – with a header from a corner – and set up Weiper for the goal. He is and remains a special player.”

Woltemade should be number one target for Everton
The forward is under contract with the German outfit until 2028, but talks about an extension in Baden-Württemberg have stalled.
Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth is still confident that a deal can be reached to ward off the likes of Everton, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
However, until any deal is agreed to keep the U-21 Euros star in Germany, the Blues must have him at the top of their list for a potential new forward.
The young attacker notched 12 goals and two assists in 28 Bundesliga matches last season and has continued that impressive form at the tournament.
The Hill Dickinson Stadium outfit has shifted their recruitment policy recently to target younger players with the likes of Iliman Ndiaye, Tim Iroegbunam and Carlos Alcaraz coming through the doors.
They should do all that they can to continue that trend with Woltemade after his latest exploits on the international stage.
It is a pivotal summer for Moyes and Co, and if they can pull off a deal for the promising German attacker, it would be a great start to their business.
