Brighton Set to Table£40m Bid for Harvey Elliot

Brighton are lining up a £40m move for Liverpool’s Harvey Elliot this summer. The midfielder is reportedly open to a transfer for more playing time.

Brighton Target Harvey Elliot in £40m Swoop

Brighton are preparing a £40 million approach for Harvey Elliot, according to The Sun.

In 2019, the 22-year-old playmaker arrived at Liverpool from Fulham. He has progressed well but he may be ready for a new test. Florian Wirtz is set to come through the door at Anfield this summer. So, Harvey could find himself getting less minutes, and he may want to look elsewhere.

Meanwhile, the Seagulls are looking at the England U21 star as a major target. They think they have a good chance because they have James Milner at Brighton. Milner used to play for the Reds, and that he could help sway Elliot to go to Brighton.

Harvey made 28 appearances last season. He managed to score five goals and create three assists while missing the first part of the season through injury.

Fulham Set for Boost, Wolves Also in the Frame

Fulham are also watching the midfielder closely. When they sold Elliot to Liverpool, they included a 20% sell-on clause. So, that could now land them around £8m if the move to Brighton goes through. Elliot is currently playing at the U21 Euros. He has been playing very well with two goals in four appearances. He is very open to looking at his future. But, reportedly he is actively looking to leave Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Wolves had also shown interest earlier this year, but the Seagulls appear to be leading the race. Arne Slot’s side is likely to see multiple attacking players leave this summer. Those includes Federico Chiesa and Darwin Nunez.

Any deal is unlikely to be sealed before the U21 Euros. But, Brighton are making their moves to sign their target as early as possible.
