Report: Leeds United forced into action as Galatasaray find loophole in £20m star’s future

Daniel Farke and the 49ers seem to be acting quickly behind the scenes for Leeds United.

This transfer window is shaping up to be a success for Leeds as the Premier League awaits.

Transfers seem to be happening efficiently at Thorp Arch, with a master plan seemingly taking place.

This comes after the arrival of Lukas Nmecha and the soon-to-be-announced Jaka Bijol, as his confirmation is only a matter of time.

Oscar Gloukh is new on Leeds’ radar as the momentum continues, but the owners might want to act quicker for another player’s signature.

Galatasaray find loophole in Leeds United target Aaron Ramsdale’s future

The reason to act quicker is due to rivals Galatasaray looking to secure a move for Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

Farke is known to have an interest in the 27-year-old, as Leeds target Ramsdale is set to leave.

The need for a goalkeeper at Elland Road is obvious, as talk of acting quickly becomes very apparent in this situation, with a new number one needing to settle in.

Well, Galatasaray are looking to get Leeds involved with Ramsdale sooner than expected, as The Times suggests that the Turkish side are looking to sign the keeper.

But they seem to have found a loophole in the deal, as although his price quoted is £20m due to his release clause, Galatasaray are looking to secure a loan, and Leeds could follow suit.

Leeds should look into Ramsdale loan deal

With it clear that a goalkeeper signing is a ‘priority’, there has been debate over whether Ramsdale is the ideal candidate.

£20m seems a bit steep for a keeper who has already suffered two relegations from the top flight, which is what the Whites are looking to avoid.

However, to potentially look past the £20m fee and instead secure a loan deal like Galatasaray are planning could be the way forward, as Ramsdale has shown his worth in the Premier League.

Of course, now the 49ers will have to act quickly to make it happen, but if the start of the window is anything to go by, they will do exactly that.

Although he has his flaws, getting an experienced shot stopper in the 27-year-old, who was shown to cope well in a relegation battle, would make for an efficient signing, and with Ramsdale preferring to stay in England, Leeds would win the race over Galatasaray.
