Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has captured hearts, but this time, it’s not for a buzzer-beater or no-look pass. A new video featuring the NBA Finals MVP with his wife, Hailey Summers, and their son, Ares, is making waves online.
The heartwarming footage, shared by the NBA’s official Instagram account, shows the trio during a family photoshoot following the Thunder’s historic Game 7 win over the Indiana Pacers.
In the video, Gilgeous-Alexander and Summers were standing side by side while Ares walked around the trophies. Fans flooded the comments with admiration.
“Father, son, brother, wife, MVP, NBA champion!” one fan wrote, capturing the emotion of the moment.
“Great family man. It’s nice seeing Shai Gilgeous-Alexander next to his wife and son with the NBA Trophy,” another added.
The love kept pouring in from all directions.
“Kid doesn’t know how lucky he is,” one person shared.
“He seems such a humble dude❤️ð¥,” another added.
“Proud Family right there,” said one fan, while another gushed, “Ares is adorable!”
Just moments after securing the Thunder’s first title since moving to Oklahoma City in 2008, Gilgeous-Alexander walked off the court and embraced Summers and Ares, along with his father, in an emotional courtside moment.
Gilgeous-Alexander’s MVP season had already been the stuff of legend. He led the Thunder to a league-best 68–14 record, averaging 32.7 points, five rebounds per game and 6.4 assists. But even with all that success, he’s been clear about what matters most.

In May, when accepting his regular-season MVP award, Gilgeous-Alexander paid tribute to Summers.
“Thank you for everything you are, for me, for our son Ares,” he said. “You were the first person to show me what love and sacrifice really meant.”
Gilgeous-Alexander and Summers, who met as high school athletes in Canada, married on Valentine’s Day in 2024. They welcomed Ares in April 2024 and celebrated his first birthday just a few weeks before the Finals.
From naming a Converse shoe color after Summers’ eyes to taking parenting advice from her, Gilgeous-Alexander often credits his wife as his compass.
“She’s brutally honest,” he once shared with Andscape. “If my mindset is off, she makes sure I know.”
That honest support appears to be paying off. With a championship ring, MVP titles and a growing family by his side, Gilgeous-Alexander’s video isn’t just turning heads; it’s reminding fans what true success looks like.
