Six of our young Gunners have qualified for the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup by finishing third with England in Group B of the 2025 UEFA Women’s U19 Euros.
Having qualified as Round 2 Group A3 winners for their 16th appearance at an U19s Euros, the young Lionesses were looking to win the competition for the first time since 2009.
After beating Netherlands 2-1 in their opening game, England lost 4-1 to Portugal and 1-0 to Spain, suffering a 96th-minute winner in the latter, to take just three points from the group stage.
**Katie Reid** and **Laila Harbert** played 90 minutes of all three games, while **Vivienne Lia** started the trio before being substituted. It was Lia who forced the opening goal of the Portugal game, getting in the right place to ensure Iara Lobo could only turn the ball into her own net from Lexi Potter's cross.
**Jessie Gale** came on in the 64th minute of the win over Netherlands and the 71st minute of defeat to Portugal.
**Madison Earl** also came on in the 56th minute of the Spain match, while **Cecily Wellesley-Smith** was called up but wasn’t introduced off the bench.
