Deco has spoken about the transfer over the weekend and admitted that Fati needs to be playing after struggling for game time under Hansi Flick.
Monaco finished third last season and can offer Champions League for the new season which is also good news for Fati.
The Ligue 1 side are also expected to bring in Paul Pogba on a free transfer as they attempt to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.
Meanwhile, Fati will be hoping he can feature regularly and get his career back on track after making just three starts last season for Barca.
