The Leeds United squad is set for a major shakeup this summer. Some areas of the team that lacked depth are set to be bolstered during this transfer window.
Leeds have already made strides towards improving the attack, with the addition of Lukas Nmecha. The German comes in with quality and experience from the Bundesliga. But according to reports, he will have a unique role in the team.

And because of this, the Whites have already lined up another center forward this summer. This deal could follow after Jaka Bijol arrives at Elland Road.

Leeds United in talks with Serie A club

The Whites seem to be pursuing another deal from the Serie A. According to Corriere Dello Sport, Leeds are keen to complete a deal for Lecce’s Nikola Krstovic. The Italian outlet revealed that the Whites made a bid earlier this month, but the Italian side are holding out for more.
Krstovic reportedly wants to stay in Italy, but Lecce’s asking price is too high for the clubs in the league. Leeds however, are ready to pay close to the £25.6million fee for the striker.
Daniel Farke was keen on adding some firepower to the attack, and could now get two huge additions to the squad.
Krstovic will replace Joel Piroe
Last season, Daniel Farke relied on a core of players throughout most of the campaign. Complaints from the fans were valid, as players like Largie Ramazani and Mateo Joseph were sideline during some stretches.

Joel Piroe lead the line last season, but with the possible arrival of Krstovic, he might move to the bench. The Serbian has experience at the top level, and last season showed that he can lead the attack of a relegation-threatened team. Fans should be excited to see the competition between Nmecha, Piroe and Krstovic next season.
