Earlier this month, Crystal Palace were said to be monitoring the situation of Juventus’ Lloyd Kelly.
The centre-back had a frustrating first six months in Turin but despite that, his move away from Newcastle United was made permanent due to an obligatory clause in the original loan.
Kelly spoke about interest from Crystal Palace last week and dismissed the idea of a move, but the talk is refusing to go away. TuttoSport today report that Juve have a clear price tag and that has been made clear to clubs that have asked about the defender’s situation.
Crystal Palace are thought to be one of those, and Oliver Glasner’s side are also interested in Juve’s Douglas Luiz, who has failed to make a mark in Italy since his arrival from Aston Villa.
He is leaning towards leaving Juventus rather than staying and fighting for his place, with the Bianconeri valuing the Brazilian at just €25m. That may work better for Juventus as an initial loan and then €25m purchase obligation next summer, so they don’t record an accounting loss on the player.
Juventus want to unleash a ‘mini auction’ for Douglas Luiz in an attempt to attract as much attention as they can for the midfielder.
