Manchester United have another priority sale and it could earn them£70m

Alejandro Garnacho.

The game is almost certainly up for Alejandro Garnacho at Manchester United.

And then there were four. Through just a couple of taps of his smart phone, Alejandro Garnacho has joined Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony on Manchester United's list of priority sales.

already knew United are open to selling him this summer at the right price, but the club should now be looking to get him off the books in the same way they want to offload the aforementioned trio.

Not for the first time in his career, Garnacho's social media antics have done more harm than good. His decision to upload an image on his Instagram page of him wearing an Aston Villa shirt donning 'Rashford 9' on the back strengthens United's case to get rid of him.

The Manchester Evening News reported last month the 20-year-old will be free to leave the club this summer if they receive an acceptable offer for him. The decision was made just days after he was left out of the starting XI for the Europa League final in Bilbao.

He was left out of the matchday squad for the Premier League finale against Aston Villa, but was included in the squad that travelled to Malaysia and Hong Kong for the post-season tour. He featured in both games, making one start and one substitute appearance.

Head coach said of Garnacho during the tour: "It's not a surprise [Garnacho is in the squad]. He's a player of Manchester United, all the players are here.

"Some players are injured and it was better not to fly here to play these two games so it's a normal situation. It's okay."

The fact Garnacho almost certainly made his farewell appearance for United in a meaningless 3-1 win over Hong Kong is actually quite sad. He has been one of the biggest success stories of United's academy in recent years and it was not all that long ago that a path had been formed for him to enjoy a long and successful career in M16.

However, his social media posts, as well as his post-match interview after the Europa League final, during which he described United's campaign as "s**t", has meant it looks set to end on a sour note.

, no United fan had any complaints. All three of them spent time away from Old Trafford on loan last season and they do not feature in Amorim's plans.

Garnacho, through his talent and undoubted potential, still had a case for staying in the eyes of some. However, whereas United were previously prepared to offload him for the right price, they now need to ensure they get him off the books this summer alongside , Sancho and Antony come what may.

Napoli had a £40m bid turned down for the Argentine back in January and United are holding out for a higher fee. North of £50m is a more realistic valuation for the player, but a report by has claimed United will be asking for £70m.

Whatever price United value Garnacho at, they need to offload him one way or another. His attitude and social media antics have been called into question once too often and he does not even fit into the winger-less 3-4-2-1 system they now operate in.

He has undermined Amorim and he did the same with former United boss Erik ten Hag when he liked a post criticising the Dutchman for substituting him in a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium in April last year.

Amorim is attempting to oversee the birth of a new dawn at Old Trafford and he cannot waste time dealing with the fallout and noise generated from social media posts that purposely attempt to stir the pot.

They are unnecessary and avoidable. Garnacho has just become the fourth member of a three-man wantaway list.
