Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez could be the next big name heading out of Anfield. The Uruguayan forward has shown interest in joining Serie A champions Napoli after being impressed by Antonio Conte’s project for the new season.
And just like one of his darting runs in behind, this story is picking up pace.
Nunez has given his initial approval to a possible move to Italy, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Deal now depends on financial feasibility as Liverpool want important transfer fee and salary will also be key topic.

The 25-year-old is open to joining the Partenopei, who have already made headlines by bringing in Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer.
With Napoli returning to the Champions League and defending their league crown, Conte wants serious firepower—and Nunez could be his next big catch.
However, there’s one thing holding it up: money.

One thing can still stop Darwin Nunez transfer
Liverpool won’t let Nunez go on the cheap. The club is said to want a significant fee, and wages are also being discussed.
But Napoli are serious. With Romelu Lukaku expected to lead the line, adding Nunez would give Conte real options up front.
Former Serie A striker Francesco Caputo believes Nunez wouldn’t just be riding the bench.
“He is the profile of an international-level striker… I think he could even play alongside Lukaku because they have different skill sets,” Caputo told Radio Kiss Kiss.
Conte’s plans clearly struck a chord with Nunez. The Italian coach recently shut down rumours of leaving Napoli, saying he stayed because of the project and the backing of club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Napoli begin their title defense in August, and fans could be seeing a new-look attack if this move goes through.
With De Bruyne pulling the strings and Nunez possibly joining Lukaku up front, Napoli might just have found their new goal-den trio.
