A new clip of Viktor Gyokeres training alongside Tottenham’s Lucas Bergvall during the summer break has shown Arsenal all they need to know about his work ethic.
Gyokeres continues to be heavily linked with a move to Arsenal after months of speculation.
The Sporting CP striker, who netted 54 goals this season, is reportedly keen on joining Mikel Arteta's Gunners despite interest from the likes of Manchester United, where his former Sporting boss Ruben Amorim is currently in charge.
A few hurdles have kept his dream move from becoming a reality so far, including Arsenal's simultaneous pursuit of Benjamin Sesko and Sporting not being obliged to accept anything less than Gyokeres' £84million release clause, contrary to initial reports.
Yet, the 27-year-old seems to be keeping himself in top shape during the post-season break, sending a clear signal to his potential future club and manager, Mikel Arteta, that he's fully committed to his craft.
The footage, which emerged last week, shows Gyokeres on holiday playing keepy-uppies with compatriots Felix Beijmo of Aarhus and Bergvall, who joined Tottenham in February 2024 in a £8.5m deal.

Record reports that Gyokeres has been following a daily training plan in Stockholm, Sweden, with the aim of keeping fit ahead of the new season.
The report also states Gyokeres, whose contract runs until 2028, has told his family of his preference to join the north Londoners next season.
It has been claimed that he is willing to force through a move despite Sporting’s club president Frederico Varandas saying the club won’t be ‘blackmailed’ into letting their talisman leave for a lower fee. A Bola reports Gyokeres has already threatened to go on strike.

Portuguese outlet Correio Da Manha reported on Monday that Sporting are actually prepared to accept a reduced fee of £68.5m for the Swedish international. It stated that Arteta is eager to sign Gyokeres before Arsenal's Asia tour gets underway in July, where they will face AC Milan, Newcastle and Spurs.
However, there are also conflicting reports which suggest Arteta's priority is to bring in RB Leipzig's Sesko. That would again rule out Gyokeres’ move.
Bild claimed last week that the Gunners have agreed personal terms with the Slovenia international. Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has been negotiating with both clubs and their respective players in recent weeks.
