Manchester United’s summer window has already kicked off with a bang, as Matheus Cunha became the first senior arrival in a deal worth £62.5 million from Wolves.
The club is also pushing ahead with talks for Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo, with Ruben Amorim eager to bolster his forward options before pre-season ramps up.
Amorim has made it clear he wants a striker added to his squad, though United remain in the exploratory phase as several targets are being assessed.

While the focus is naturally on senior reinforcements, Old Trafford’s recruitment team has also been busy building for the future.
Now, United are preparing to finalise three youth signings next week, with all deals already in place and ready to be confirmed.
Teenage full-back Diego Leon will officially become a Manchester United player in early July after turning 18 in April.
The club reached an agreement with Cerro Porteno back in January but had to wait for the Paraguayan to become eligible.
He visited Manchester earlier this year for a medical and is now expected to sign a five-year contract.
The initial transfer fee is believed to be around £3.2 million, with performance-related add-ons potentially increasing the figure to £7 million.

Diego Leon is one of three highly-rated youngsters joining United’s academy set-up.
French forward Enzo Kana-Biyik will arrive from Le Havre once his contract expires at the end of June.
An agreement has already been reached and a short statement is expected from United once the transfer is officially complete.
United are also finalising a move for Southampton starlet Harley Emsden-James.
The centre-back, who has represented England at U15 level, will join on a free transfer, although United will pay around £1 million in compensation to Southampton, including a 20% sell-on clause.
Emsden-James is expected to feature for United’s U18 side next season, with his decision to move reportedly influenced by the clear pathway between the academy and the first team.
All three signings are part of United’s long-term vision to rebuild both the senior squad and the youth ranks under the new INEOS-led football structure.
